Default law school resume, objective?

Recommend this post:
On a regular business resume you would typically put on "Objective" section at the top of the resume, explaining why you are submitting a resume.

Should you put one on a law school resume? Like, "Objective: to gain admission to law school" ?

Depends who you talk to.

See this earlier thread: http://www.lsatboard.com/showthread.php?t=5

I tend to agree with the comments on the thread. They know you are applying to get into law school so why state the obvious. Of course I am sure if you talked to some hardcore business folk they would tell you it does not matter if it is obvious it is nice to restate the objective of the resume.

Personally I am not putting an objective in.

I am of the opinion that resumes for the purposes of law school admission should not have an objective section.

It is not only redundant, but it takes away space that could be used for more important information. Your goal should be to keep your resume to one page (unless you have good reason to go over). But "one or two pages" is another debate entirely: see law school resumes - one or two pages?

Putting an objective to your resume for law school sounds redundant already. Isn't the objective obvious yet? Is this another case of stating the obvious?
