Default do colleges look you up on facebook? myspace? twitter?

I am sure that colleges will say that they don't have an official policy of researching candidates on the internet. However, it is most probable that admissions officers, in their official or unofficial capacity, will search your name to see what comes up.

This is why it is important to use privacy settings on facebook and a username on twitter that no one can connect to your real name. Just delete myspace, that is so 1990s.

I deleted my Myspace account a while ago in fear of this... I didn't want to be stereotyped as a guido just because I had a muscular profile picture.
